As I wrap up my newest novel, PASSAGES, over the next few weeks, I will release a series of short stories that pair nicely with my long-form writing. Inspired and written during recent readings of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Babylon Revisited and Ernest Hemingway's A Very Short Story, FIAT LUX details a brief, dialogue-driven journey between a professor and his student.
